As one of the first independent fund management companies in Germany, our firm has retained its medium-sized character to this day. This independence protects us and our clients from conflicts of interest, enabling us to provide a bespoke service.

In the European small and mid-cap segment, we consistently and sustainably create added value for our investors with one of the largest and most experienced portfolio management teams. Lupus alpha has been one of the leading providers of risk-managed equity strategies and volatility strategies in Germany since 2007. Furthermore, our specialised approaches to fixed-income investments go beyond traditional approaches, including CLO strategies since 2015 and convertible bonds since 2017. These solutions address the specific challenges in our clients’ fixed-income portfolios. Our modular risk overlay enables us to provide bespoke solutions for the specific needs of institutional investors.

That is why we focus entirely on asset classes away from major indices. Lupus alpha’s partnership-based corporate structure creates an environment that ensures the greatest possible degree of staff continuity at management level and also allows top performers to be integrated entrepreneurially within Lupus alpha.

The company has nine partners in total, five of whom form the Executive Committee. The Executive Committee manages the day-to-day operations of Lupus alpha and facilitates the regular exchange of ideas and information across departments as well as senior-level interface management.
